Two Ways to Add Years

Most Coverage

Pre-Mixed Fuel

5Years

Five years, total.

Add at least 96 fl oz of Husqvarna pre-mixed fuel to the same Bailey's order as the saw. One case of six XP+ quarts covers two saws; a case of four 110 fl oz cans covers four.

Standard 2-year warranty + 3 more

2-Stroke Oil

3Years

Three years, total.

Add at least six bottles of Husqvarna 2-stroke oil, any size or type, to the same Bailey's order as the saw. A case of 24 bottles covers up to four saws.

Standard 2-year warranty + 1 more

Both tiers: same receipt as the saw, registered with Husqvarna within 30 days, personal use only.

Three Steps

How You Get It

  1. 01

    Order Them Together

Put the saw and the fuel (or oil) on the same Bailey's order. They have to be on one receipt, bought at the same time. Adding fuel later, on a separate order, doesn't count.

  2. 02

    Register With Husqvarna

You register the saw yourself, online with Husqvarna, within 30 days of purchase. Attach a copy of your Bailey's receipt. Bailey's doesn't do this step for you, and the warranty isn't extended without it.Register at Husqvarna

  3. 03

    Hang On to the Receipt

Keep proof of purchase for the full 3 or 5 years. Husqvarna can ask to see it before they do warranty work.

Qualifying Fuel & Oil

What to Put in the Cart

Only these sizes meet the minimum on their own. Prices and stock are live from baileysonline.com. Coverage is per saw; see the multi-saw math below.

For the 3-year tier: 2-stroke oil

Any size or type of Husqvarna 2-stroke oil counts, but it's counted in bottles: six per saw. A single bucket is one container, however big.

Straight Answer

Who This Is For

This is Husqvarna's consumer program. It's for saws bought for your own place, not saws that earn a living. We'd rather tell you now than have a claim bounce later.

Covered

  • Gas, 2-stroke Husqvarna handhelds: chainsaws, blowers, trimmers, hedge trimmers and pole saws
  • Bought new for personal or household use: firewood for your own stove, storm cleanup, clearing your own property
  • Fuel or oil on the same receipt, registered with Husqvarna within 30 days

Not Covered

  • Commercial, agricultural, retail, industrial or rental use. If the saw makes money or works a farm business, it's out.
  • Battery saws (there's nothing to pre-mix)
  • Fuel or oil bought later, on a separate order
  • Second owners: the extension stays with the original retail purchaser

Don't Lose It

How to Make Sure You Qualify

Six things knock a saw out of the extension. All six are on you, not the saw, so get them right at checkout and in the first 30 days.

What voids the extension

  1. Separate receipts. The saw and the fuel or oil have to be bought at the same time, on the same Bailey's order.

  2. Not enough fuel or oil. Under 96 fl oz of premix, or under six bottles of oil, per saw.

  3. Late or missing registration. Not registered at husqvarna.quickreg.me/us within 30 days, with the receipt attached.

  4. Income-producing use. Commercial, agricultural, industrial or rental work.

  5. A second owner. The extension isn't transferable; it belongs to the original retail purchaser.

  6. No proof of purchase. Keep the receipt for the full 3 or 5 years. No receipt, no claim.

The base warranty still has rules

The extension adds years; it doesn't change what Husqvarna's warranty covers. These still get a claim denied:

  • E15 or E85 fuel
  • Stale fuel, or oil that doesn't meet Husqvarna's spec
  • Skipped maintenance
  • A bar, chain or sprocket that doesn't match the saw
  • Damage or failure caused by setup or repair work from anyone other than an authorized Husqvarna servicing dealer
  • Running the saw after a failure instead of stopping

Warranty work goes through an authorized Husqvarna servicing dealer. Getting the saw there, or shipping it, is at the owner's cost.

Buying More Than One

Each Saw Needs Its Own Share

The minimums are per saw, on the same receipt. Two saws, two shares.

Questions

Fuel Warranty FAQ

Does the warranty extension cost anything?

No. You're buying fuel or oil you'd run anyway. The extra years come with it when it's on the same receipt as the saw and you register in time.

Can I buy the fuel in a separate order?

No. The saw and the fuel or oil have to be bought together, on the same Bailey's order and one receipt. A second order later doesn't qualify.

I cut firewood on my own land. Do I qualify?

Yes, if it's for your own household and the saw isn't earning income or working a farm business. Commercial, agricultural, rental, retail and industrial use are excluded.

Which saws count?

Gas, 2-stroke Husqvarna handhelds: chainsaws, plus blowers, trimmers, hedge trimmers and pole saws. Battery saws don't qualify.

Who registers the saw?

You do, with Husqvarna, not with Bailey's. Go to husqvarna.quickreg.me/us within 30 days of purchase, enter the saw, and attach a copy of your Bailey's receipt. Miss the window and the warranty stays at the standard 2 years.

Does a 5-gallon bucket of oil count as six bottles?

No. Oil is counted in bottles, six per saw, and a bucket is one container. The 24-bottle cases qualify; see the list on this page.

What if I sell the saw?

The extension stays with the original purchaser. It doesn't transfer to the next owner.

What if I lose the receipt?

Keep it safe. Husqvarna can ask for proof of purchase before performing warranty work, for the whole 3 or 5 years.

Where do I take the saw for warranty work?

To an authorized Husqvarna servicing dealer. Getting it there, or shipping it, is on the owner.

Can I get 5 years with oil instead of premix?

No. Six bottles of oil gets you 3 years total; 96 fl oz of pre-mixed fuel gets you 5.

When does the program end?

Husqvarna hasn't published an end date. The terms are Husqvarna's and can change; the current ones are on husqvarna.com.

Browse every gas Husqvarna we carry, add the premix to the same Bailey's order, then register with Husqvarna.

The Husqvarna Extended Fuel Warranty is a Husqvarna program, effective November 1, 2019, for 2-stroke gas Husqvarna handheld products purchased for non-income-producing personal or household use. Commercial, agricultural, retail, industrial and rental use are excluded. The standard 2-year limited consumer warranty extends to 5 years with a qualifying purchase of at least 96 fl oz of Husqvarna pre-mixed fuel, or to 3 years with at least 6 bottles of Husqvarna 2-stroke oil, bought at the same time as the product and shown on the original receipt. Each product requires its own qualifying amount. The purchaser must register the product with Husqvarna within 30 days of purchase at husqvarna.quickreg.me/us, attaching a copy of the receipt. The extension is not transferable and applies to the original retail purchaser only. Keep proof of purchase for the warranty period. All terms, exclusions and conditions of Husqvarna's limited consumer warranty continue to apply; warranty service is performed by authorized Husqvarna servicing dealers, with transportation at the owner's expense. Terms are set by Husqvarna and subject to change; see husqvarna.com for current terms. Prices and availability shown are from baileysonline.com.
