A 60–70cc saw covers the majority of professional felling and bucking. Step up to 90cc+ only when bar length past 28" is routine — the extra weight costs you more in fatigue than it returns in speed.
Fuel-injected vs carbureted
Auto-tune and fuel-injected models (the 564XP, 572XP, 592XP) hold tune across altitude and temperature swings and start more reliably cold. Carbureted saws remain easier to field-service without diagnostics.
